On February 28th, 2026 the US and Isreal attacked Iran in an an operation that killed the top of Iran’s power structure, the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. The problem is the American people don’t have a clear answer as to why we did this as the president and his administration didn’t go through congress - the constitutionally legal way to declare war. The Trump administration is now throwing every possible reason to explain their actions at the wall to see what sticks - Iran’s nuclear capabilities, terrorism, freeing the Iranian people from their oppressive leader, a reaction to intelligence that indicated Iran plan to strike US bases, or that Iran interfered in the 2020 and 2024 elections. They can’t get their story straight and they seem to be unable to explain what our intentions are in the middle east.
