The Freudian Idea of Unconscious Processes

We tend to associate ourselves with the conscious mind and not with all these unconscious automatic processes. When people are the habit they don't like, they have an automatic process going on already which in that case they don't see us serving them. And so we have the Freudian idea, the unconscious is adversarial. It's this thing set apart from us that's somehow bad and not or it needs to be controlled or whatever. These are both processes that have different operating systems to use a computer metaphor. In my work, I'm pointing out you need to learn how each operating system works and work it accordingly.
