Is There a One to One Functional Map Between the Neurons and What They're Doing?
Sotaco: There's no one functional map between these neurons and what it is that they're doing. Sotaco: An experiment we're working on right now involves presenting am two sounds at the same time, and we're trying to tell whether or not the neurons are effectively multiplexing signals related to those two sounds. Are they also maybe switching back and forth between dealing with sound and maybea spending part of their time dealing with auditory imagery? Or something that's more of a cognitive, thought based role that might use this same noral intera structure.
