US Soccer Draws the Ire of the Iranian Government

US soccer has drawn the ire of the Iranian government. The team's account for reasons of insanity posted a graphic that featured the Iranian flag, but removed the Islamic Republic logo from the centre of it. US soccer confirmed that that removal was intentional and intended to show support for the women in Iran fighting for basic human rights. This comes after Masher Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian woman, died after being arrested by the country's morality police because she didn't wear a hijab.
