Was It Understandable? Is It a Natural Progression?

The war on the ground was getting bogged down in the western front, and this is really where it all comes from. And of course, we talk about the bomberaids on germany as being an early second front. So yes, i suppose, i've never really thought of it as am that somebody actually understood what was going on. I think they just realized they had to do it.
