DETERMINATION: The first step to taking charge of your family's foundation is to create a strong sense of purpose, and that takes determination. You get to determine what values you want to instill in your children, what kind of people you want them to grow up to be. Once you have a clear vision of who your family is, then you determine the vision that aligns with your family's purpose. ATTENTIVENESS: Next, creating a positive, supportive environment for your children is essential. This means paying attention to the media they consume, the friends they spend time with, and the activities they participate in. If your children spend too much time on social media or hanging out with negative influences, it's time to make changes. Instead, encourage them to spend time with positive role models, read more, participate in activities that build self-esteem, and invest in relationships that support their growth. You get to be attentive to what's happening in your four walls.

RESTORATION: Another key to maintaining your family's foundation is to manage stress effectively. And this comes from restoration. It's no secret that life can be overwhelming at times, especially when you're trying to raise children. But studies have shown that chronic stress can have a negative impact on both physical and mental health, making it even more important to learn how to manage stress effectively. Some tips for reducing stress include setting aside time for self-care, practicing mindfulness techniques, and building a solid support network. KNOWLEDGEABLE: It's important to remember that you are the ultimate authority in your family. Now, society may try to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. But ultimately, you get to decide what values and beliefs are important to you and your family. And this means you must be knowledgeable about what you want for your family.

Don't give away your power to external factors – instead, embrace your role as a parent and create the foundation for the family you want to build. Raising children in today's world can be a challenging task. But when you lead in the D.A.R.K., your heart can attach as much as your mind focuses on helping your children thrive.
