David heard in the wilderness that nabal was shearing his sheep. So he sent ten young men to go and greet him at carmel. When they arrived, David said: 'Please give whatever you have at hand to your servants' Then abigail made haste and took 200 loaves and two skins of wine,. Five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched grain. A hundred clusters of raisins and 200 cakes of figs were also handed over.
