I really embraced the liberal arts which is not a thing in Australia as much as it's still an institution in America. I was heavily into sort of ecological politics, environmentalism, sustainability. And so that frustration about the gap between the kind of philosophy and the kind of political activism, that was a kind of tension that I felt right from the start. To some extent, that's that's sort of why I walk backwards into design.
