What Are Windows For?

In mediaeval times, a man was taken to court for nosing on his neighbour. He was told that he had to glass in his window so that he couldn't see out. But i'm fascinated by the idea that windows reflect us as humans. I think there is something about whether we live in an extraverted or an intverted society. That there will be a culture of displaying your family and your taste to the world, or you shut it all in.
