The Age of Literature
It's the oldest work of literature we have. It's older than the Old Testament. Of course, that feeds into our bigger question that we're looking at throughout this series is literature dying. We know a lot of physical evidence about these people and their world, but what did they think? How did they feel about that world? Were they angry or bitter? Were they full of joy? Terrified? At peace? All we can do is guess. Until the development of writing changed everything. Now we could know all those stories orally told they're no longer lost - there for us to discover.
