How Effective Are These Marine Reserves at Achieving Management Objectives?

The question I guess the basic question was, do these marine reserves help us achieve objectives, management objectives both biological and social? So first of all, biological, the issue in the New England ground fishery at the time and for some time after that was that there was continual overfishing occurring. They were using a variety of methods to try and control that overfishing including large area closures and sometimes seasonal area closures. And so what the model suggests was that they can be effective even seasonal ones because they basically were tending to closing areas where fish were accumulating.
