The Coming Crisis in Real Estate
Moody's, S&P and Fitch are all warning that demographics are hurting government credit ratings around the world. The share of the population over 65 is going to go from 20% to 30% over the next 25 years in Europe, Japan, and the US. No state has experienced a decrease in the median age, however. In South Korea, people are actually getting younger because on January 1st,. the government is shifting to a new way that they calculate age.
