Democracy Is Not Between the Parties, but Between the Party Bosses
In a european democracy, they have far fewer elections, and the elections are between the parties. That's where you fight it out. In america, that means giving power to the party bosses. If you look at the democratic party in the 19 sixties, this is a decade before they adopt the direct primary. Theyre the ones who install or reinstall the primaries despite these hundred d 80 years of warnings about the dangers of simply opening the doors to the people. And we see harris and mc govern motivated fully by their intent to be presidential candidate, to win the nomination and become president.
