The Violence of the Cross

Baptism is a violent act in that way because there is spiritual warfare going on. But it's also a cause of rejoicing because it's Easter too for that particular person. So stories like this, they throw us right into the middle of this vortex of horrific nature of sin and its consequences. They also take us to the cross where we see the God has dealt with that finally and, and for all time and the death of the Son. All these stories provide the background to the cross. I mean, this is why,. this is why the cross had to happen. And so, and it's natural and right, I think to be horrified. Yeah.
