Can String Theory Be Tested?
Mathematically there's a whole bunch of possible string theories, but experimentally we can't test which one is right exactly. We think they're about ten to the minus 35 meters in size, which is super dupeor tiny. To distinguish between them, we'd need to look much deeper. So sometimes people argue like, ok, string theory's nice, but it's not physics, it's math, because it can't be tested. But that then that's what they need to do. They need to build up their math sot of our scale in our world. It's difficult because they got a long ways to go. And they've been working on it for 20 years
