How Far Can We Really Predict an Earthquake?
Is there any way to tell what kind of earthquakes will have further in the future, or we really just don't know? I think it's based on something that the physical structure is... Like the tecton plates. And so you change very slowly in time. So people try to analyze what happened in the past, use that statistic applied to the future. They call the occurrence period. Sometimes say big one, maybe 70 years or 100 years or 200 years. But the statistics is not a... It's not a surefire way to know.
