How to Balance Calmness and Description to Sizzle
Anyone that's listening in English to the Tour de France, at that particular moment, they're listening to you. The only thing that's going through my mind when I see Richie crash is his mum and dad are watching. You've still got to do your own thing, but brevity is really important as well. And choosing when to not say anything. Silence is the best ambient noise because then the audience at home can feel the energy that's coming from the crowd on the side of the road. It's about getting that right balance, being quiet at the right times and providing the entertainment and building the athletes up.
