The Only Bowler to Win Player of the Match in a Test Without Taking a Wicket
Jack Leach is the only bowler to win player of the match in a test without taking a wicket. He made 92 runs as the night watch opener against Ireland, but didn't take a single one. The Association of Cricket statisticians say that's not how it works. Pat Simcox doesn't count because he's qualified as an all-rounder and took fewer than two and a half wickets per match. But Jack Leach does on that metric - even if you don't count him as a bowler.
