Inflation Is a Lagging Indicator, Right?
New ways of looking at rental inflation make it appear the BLS model is really on a long lag. When you look at Zillow rents, they appear to be plummeting. The markets don't have a great way of telling you how much your barber is going to charge you for your haircut or services.
