You can start practicing your voice acting with just about anything. Any recording device that you can get, where you can sit by yourself in a quiet place, record, and then play back is a way for you to practice voice acting. Professional grade recording equipment is much more affordable than it used to be. A fancy paintbrush does not make one a good painter.
