Henry Versus Richard
There was no personal animosity between the two, was there? And we they were both propelled to this point by the great floating plates of english politics and history. So i don't believe that richard hated henry personally because he didn't know him. I think this is about them both being forced by circumstances to appear at bosworth leading armies against each other. It's striking that henry never really bad mouthed richard throughout his reign. He does some fairly standard stuff about richard being a bad guy in his first parliament,. But beyond that, he doesn't really slate richard in the way which he could have done.
