The Paradox of Consistency in Design Systems
I think a lot of the effort we put into design systems is about consistency for the developers, consistency for how we make things. And we lose sight of the thing that really matters, which is the end user's perspective. I 100% agree that when we're designing a product we always need to think about what it, what is the larger context. So how do we actually kind of balance that wider view as well as that focus you core functionality and core information? We're not kind of painting ourselves into a corner. We're building a foundation that will serve the long term vision.
