How Do Negative Memories Fade Away Faster?

A bias is a tendency to favor one thing over another in a way that isn't fair. The brain relies on shortcuts and simplifying things so that we can make sense of the world quickly. Our most vivid long-term memories are often from the ages of 10 to 30 with the most memories being in our 20s. Young people have greater levels of hormones and neurotransmitters like dopamine which makes negative memories fade quicker than positive ones.
