General Electric, You Know, Was the Largest MNA Deal Up to That Point
The post war era really began the modern period of General Electric becoming a dominant conglomerate. They hired this guy, Mike Carpenter, from McKinsey to be the MNA guy and create a strategic planning department just to do deals. And so I think, you know, it was under Jack really that GE was just buying and selling so many companies all the time.
