Ancient Egypt's Royal Tombs
Security measures were put in place to protect the king's burial chamber. The walls of the tomb are decorated with religious scenes showing the pharaoh moving from this world into the next world. There is a scene of tuten kamen being escorted into the underworld and welcomed by the god of the dead osiris. And then, in a sense, the most telling of all the scenes in tuten carmen's tomb is aScene of his heir carrying out the act of burial. It tells us more than it might in an ordinary royal tomb.
