The Importance of Distance in the Theatre

There are things that you can get away with in the theatre which you can't get away with on television. Somehow it would seem stagey on television if you so much more intimate and it's to do with just the distance between you and the people on the screen. Well I don't really but I get written to my candidates who think I ought to have and they send me a list of questions and it's just I just want me to do their homework for them really. It's nice that they do it and I'm very glad that they are on the syllabus because it means you've got a younger audience that were coming up.
