The Politics of Unionization in the Private Sector Economy

There's been a downward slope of unionization in the private sector economy going back like half a century now. One or two high profile victories doesn't mean that much statistically, but it is something to keep an eye on. It can be that way on the other side of the equation, too, that you have more organizing victories for a variety of different reasons for things going on in society. You use that greater strength to get people elected and then they change laws that allow you to do more successful organizing.
