John's Downfall
John defends the claim of his daughter in law, lady jane grey. And goes off to battle, essentially against future mary. The first battle is never waged. While he's away from london, the council turns on him and declares for marym. So he submits to arrest and is brought back to london in deep disgrace. He's very quickly convicted treason unlike his father, for whom the treason charges were entirely fabricated.
