Are We Going to Do Things More Efficiently?

Psychologists have discovered that taking notes, as opposed to using a keyboard device when you're listening to a lecture, will lead to better attention and understanding of the lecture. There is something about capturing something in an analogue form, in writing, that you can't get with the computer. Some writers who remain loyal to the typewriter, who feel they can work best with the typewriter. We should see them as tools, not as contained self-styled styles but at a distance from our own lives.
