The Promised Seed

Everything that happens to Abraham is like a prophecy of what is later to happen to Israel. And as we'll talk about when we get to the next chapter, chapter 22, it finally comes to its pinnacle in the sacrifice of the promised seed. When he's born, he's taken to the mountain to be sacrificed and yet he lives. Isaac is spared and Christ is sacrificed but resurrected.
