The bond market had frozen up because lenders of all sorts were not going to do anything. But when the Fed said, look, we're backing up the bond market, everything changed. Because interest rates decline, a record amount of corporate borrowing takes place. And what we call the market capitalization of the stock market just exploded out of sight.
