The End of Globalization
The end of globalization and the end of China is imminent, says Julian Zelizer. The U.S. created globalization as a security ploy to stop Soviet Union from taking over Europe in World War II; now it's out of that business. We're running out of working-aged adults globally because we've changed our way of life so much, he says. And this was always going to be the decade that both of these trends broke at the same time: demographic change and globalized security can bring great glory to a country.
