Reginald arms of the north staffordshire regiment took one last look around on the evenin of christmas day. They stood upon the parapet and had a final look round, and not a shot was fired. And that's it. Next day they're back to shooting. For some it lasts almost a week. There are isolated instances, but there is all there is for the rest of the war. The truce isn't reality.
