Donald Trump's Trial on Charges Related to His Alleged Efforts to Overturn the 2020 Election Results

Federal prosecutors have proposed a start date for Donald Trump's trial on charges related to his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in a filing yesterday. Special counsel Jack Smith not deranged asked for the judge to have a trial start on January the 2nd, 2024. Now they have to next Thursday to propose their own start date, which is likely to be after the 2024 election. The judge is going to be a lot closer to the prosecutor's date than whatever date Donald Trump's legal team comes up with because it's so far removed from a rational day.
