The Relationship Between Elliot and Lewis
The sources are letters that both Elliot and Lewis wrote to friends and acquaintances. The letters that they exchanged between the two of them are not available because they were buried with them. So it's been much more a case of sort of tracing certain themes. There is a kind of Lewis emerges as quite a domineering character, in some ways quite controlling. And I guess I'm interested in exploring those ambiguities, not necessarily wanting to find a clear resolution.
