History: coroners, inquests, and modernization

Each year, police officers kill over 1,000 people they’ve sworn to protect and serve. He received fellowships from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health, and is the author of Divine Variations, and The Coroner’s Silence.
