Isaac Julian is a prominent artist and voice in the black gay community. His 1989 film Looking for Langston which focused on Langston Hughes who was the closeted gay black poet one of the leaders of the Harlem Renaissance has become something with which you are associated. He talks about his fascination with Frederick Douglass as an abolitionist, photographer and orator.
