Did Edison Profit From When GE Goes Public?
Edison was a 10% shareholder of GE when it went public. He wasn't a very good businessman, but he made money because he started the company. Westinghouse and other manufacturers of electrical equipment basically conspired together to set the prices. It's why we have antitrust rules at that time.
