The Origins of the Ancient Chinese Tombs
The royal tombs of the Shang kings buried before 1000 BC, those have all been looted. They were probably looted immediately by their successors who are called the Joe because we can see that their enormous pits dug down in the middle of the tombs. It's very important for the succeeding dynasty to do away with the power of the ancestors of the preceding dynasty so they're definitely looted. Quite a lot of trouble is taken to hide royal tombs and in some areas they were successful probably because we've never found them.
