The Relationship Between Russia and China
Russia and china seem uneasy allies at best, but it could be a combined threat to us. There is no ideological cohesion between the two; they don't even really like each other. The russians have been more scared of the chinese threat than this sort of amorphous us threat for a long time. This is not a great game plan for putin. It's probably some very clever chinese strategy. But when there's no convenience and there's no upside, then you'll stop seeing coordination between the two.
