When you give your audience multiple ideas, here's what happens. You're giving them so much trouble and so much competition in their heads between these points that the points actually fight each other. And when points fight each other, in the mind of your audience, the power and the impact of each is diluted. So really try to boil it down. That gives you the best chance of your audience not only having attention, but he taking that point away. It doesn't mean you can't have multiple points, but delineate them.
