Tight ends rarely have super high costs even after their rookie seasons. They may increase their value year over year, but it's generally not by a whole lot. This is based on history and based on history, throwing a dart at running back or wide receiver in the second or third round of your rookie draft has generally been a better idea than going after a tight end.
