The 5,000 Years of Chinese History
The earliest evidence of true written Chinese language comes to us from the oracle bones that we will discuss at length in a later episode. By around about 5,000 BCE, most northern and southern China was dotted with culture groups. There are two major culture groups of note along the Huanghe at this point. Along the coastal hills of what is today the Shendong Peninsula, and the East China Sea.
