The Icelandic Sagas
According to the Icelandic sagas, Life Eriksen sailed west and found three different lands. He established a settlement in Vinland which he traded with natives for red cloth and milk. The Vikings left and never bothered to return. For centuries after, there was a great deal of debate about the Icelandic Sagas.
