The Battle of Breton - Churchill's Leadership
Churchill made himself very much the face at the battle. He toured all briton's major cities that had been hit. Bomber command spent a lot time bombing those french ports to prevent their use. The germans have a rather ambiglant of the battle britain in th i don't think they really see it is a battle. They see it as a air campaign that was in partan parse supporting the long turmed goal of invading britain. So if hitler was bluffing to force churchill to the negotiating table, it looked fairly convincing from where churchill and his government were sitting.
