The Importance of Extensive Switch Statements
There's no agreement or standardization here. There are some parts of the TypeScript compiler options that enable things that arguably should be in the purview of a Linter, arguably not necessarily correctly. We actually expose a standalone configuration if you just want to disable those rules and then reconfigure stuff on your own elsewhere. One of my personal goals for the project this year is to make it as easy as possible to configure this thing because it hasn't always been 100% easy for larger projects.
