If you were a third year medical student undecided on specialty with limited time remaining, what do you think would be the fastest, highest yield route to making a decision about a specialty? What information would you want to know and what questions would you ask yourself? Do I like sick patients versus healthy patients? Or do I like a certain patient population, the endocrine diseases are kind of interesting and fun. Do I want to manage diabetes all day? or do I want to see more of the zebra type of endocrine things? Ophthalmology is really cool. They can do a lot of short, neat patient procedures and its surgery, but it's a lot more manageable in terms of lifestyle
