There's no such thing as prostitute, i want to make that very clear. We keep bumping up against these things, and i really feel we need to get more information out there. There are many police officers who want to change - but we have to hold them to account. I don't want people being trained using all the terminology that's out of date. That creates even more problems going forward. And strangely, danger hes, stranger danger, just all these misknowms that actually just create more problems.
Today we analyze the cases of 21 year old Keeshae Jacobs who disappeared in 2016 from Richmond, VA and 16 year old Amaria Hall who went missing in 2019 from Trenton, MI. Neither mother of either girl was able to get law enforcement to react with urgency about their daughters. Jim talks about the terrible consequences of the "wait and see" attitude when it comes to the missing. Laura points out how important it is for law enforcement to examine baseline behavior in victims and identify red flags.
