The plagues intentionally remind us a lot about egypt, right? They remind us of the seals, trumpets and bowls. And i think the way that this can feel more connected to jewish eschatology is by seeing what comes after the tribulation which is the escotological glory. So yet, we can see that the themes of escotological Glory in this latter portion of the book of revelation as well.
