From 19 33 until 19 forty five, no significant number of jews were admitted. Jewish refugees from the third rike were admitted into this country because roosevelt and the state department didn't want them for various reasons. The state department also instructed media outlets to not report on the holocost as their war aims would have been complicated by that. If it had been about the jews, they would have had to invade germany earlier. They'd have done all these things. So i thinkat that's a interesting, am, interesting part of that story as well.
